The GT550 touch screen employee time clock is an elegant and user-friendly terminal that features an optional fingerprint biometric reader.

Acumen Data Systems' GT550 is an advanced time clock with camera and audio to enable employees to email audio, video, or a photograph right from the terminal. This allows employees to email audio and video messages to supervisors to request days off, give reasoning for late arrival, and many other self-service options.

This biometric time clock is interoperable with many time and attendance software suites, and is ideally integrated with LaborVIEW SaaS time and attendance software.

Although the GT550 is not designed necessarily as a rugged time clock to sustain outdoor conditions, it is built tough and features a durable chassis. This time clock features a polycarbonate case that protects the time clock from moderate physical trauma.

This clock is available with or without the biometric fingerprint reader. However, implementing any fingerprint biometric reader will decrease the overall ruggedness of the time clock.

The Acumen GT550 supports Ethernet and HTTPS for connectivity and secure communications, along with six USB2 ports for possible expansion and customization of applications. The advantage of the finger print reader avoids the use of buddy punches.

The biometric scanner is capacitive, in other words it reads the electric current of the finger touching the screen to create the fingerprint template. We have integrated many different brands and types of fingerprint biometric systems, but the GT550 offers a price-per-performance and reliability that can't be matched. The fingerprint reader exhibits a much lower fail rate than many other systems, particularly optical fingerprint-scanning systems.

The GT550 is a time clock in which is built to last. This clock's hard plastic exterior and durable construction helps resist incidental damages. However because this time clock has recently been introduced, the actual lifespan of the time clock has yet to be determined.

This model allows users to use all of the functions with the touch-screen technological innovation; the GT550 offers an ultra-sensitive touch screen which allows effortless accessibility. If you're sick of buying ink ribbons and time cards for your mechanical time clock, the GT550 is the right clock for you. This model will save you plenty of money in supplies, considering it does not require any ink or time cards. The punches can be biometric or proximity, so it does not print on cards, but saves data in the system.

No additional supplies are required for the use of this time clock.

The GT550 has the capacity to hold the fingerprint templates of up to 9,700 people. This makes the GT550 an ideal biometric time clock for the vast majority of companies. Also, the memory of the GT550 can be expanded if need be.

With plug-and-play implementation, the GT550 is one of the easiest time clocks to integrate into your time and attendance system. Setup is as simple as plugging it in and running the software.

The only employer setup task will be entering employee's fingerprints into the system (or creating badges if biometrics isn't used).
